It is designed to retrain similar visual-spatial and memory skills, including deficits in: attention, color consciousness, conceptualization, concentration, perceptual and sequential organization, short term memory, spatial organization, visual discrimination, visual field neglect, and visualization of parts/ whole. The three tasks making up Purposeful Symbols are: "Letter Match," "Number Match I" (basic) and "Number Match II" (advanced). These tasks allow for a sequential building of cognitive skill specifically in the areas of recognition, comparison and recall of letters and numbers. Spatial relationships can be introduced by selecting different positions for the letters and numbers on the computer screen. Audio and visual feedback are provided to help increase learning motivation. Scoring is kept automatically and can be read out at after each session. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Apple IIc, Apple IIe, and Apple IIGS computers.
