---DISCONTINUED. (Verified 12/99) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- True Friends is a coloring book emulation program designed to portray familiar childhood experiences for individuals who have a disability. The program can be played by one person using a switch or by two people alternating turns between a switch and a keyboard. It encourages interaction between children with disabilities and their family and peers. Because the animal characters are from different countries and two of them have disabilities, it is also a good way to introduce diversity to young children. The program has an audio option for musical notes and children's voices, and can be personalized to suit a child through a variety of selections in the Options Menu. COMPATIBILITY: PC compatible for DOS. OPTIONS: A PC Switch Interface that can connect one to four switches for the operation of software is available from AbleNet (see separate entry).
