--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 2/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Switch Art, model 301, is a computer drawing program designed to help reinforce visual tracking skills and cause and effect relationships for children (1 to 7 years of age) with cognitive disabilities. For this program, the user does not need to have prior concept of coloring/drawing. It features over 20 pictures that appear, one by one, at the bottom of the screen. With a row of assorted crayons displayed across the top of the screen, the user is directed by a hand that points to the part of picture to be colored; soon thereafter, a box appears around one of the crayons and stays for only a second or two before moving to the next crayon; the user must decide, by pressing the switch or the keyboard space bar, what color they would like to use; once the crayon is chosen, the crayon automatically begins to draw in the specific part of the picture. When the picture is completed, another will appear. COMPATIBILTY: IBM PC or any related compatibles. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: MS DOS and an EGA or VGA monitor. OPTIONAL: Serial or joystick port, switch or switch adapter.
