Reading Comprehension Cards Levels 1 and 2, models N51-6-WS & N62-8-WS, are reading tutorial flash cards designed for use by children with learning disabilities. There are 210 cards in Level 1 and 200 cards in Level 2. Each card has a short reading passage (fiction or non-fiction) on the front and three comprehension questions on the back involving 11 reading comprehension skills: main idea; making inferences; paraphrasing; fact versus opinion; vocabulary; sequencing; predicting; cause and effect; problem solving; and comparing and contrasting details. Cards can be used by students independently, with each other, or with a teacher or therapist. The cards can be used in drill activities, with board games, in small group therapy, in conjunction with classroom reading activities, to supplement targeted literacy, reading, and spelling activities. Level 1 has reading passages at readability levels 1.5-2.0, 2.1-2.4, 2.5-2.9, 3.0-3.4, and 3.5-4. Level 2 has reading passages at readability levels 4.0-4.4, 4.5-4.9, 5.0-5.4, 5.5-5.9, 6.0-6.4, and 6.5-6.9. A storage box is included for each level. DIMENSIONS (LxW): Cards are 4 x 6 inches.
