« Previous Product Next Product »Key Words: Special Needs Version is a typing instruction program designed to introduce and enhance keyboarding skills for children with developmental or physical disabilities. Key Words teaches students to learn to type using fun phrases, written by a children's poet. Exercises replicate patterns that occur most often and naturally, using simplified letter and word patterns in small passages. Short activities, a scrolling interface and fun language, and color graphics hold students' attention. There are 16 levels, each with six original passages of increasing difficulty. Each level teaches new keys by modelong finger placement and finger reaches. Students are tested for speed and accuracy before being advanced to the next level and teachers can adjust passing criteria for unique needs. This program is designed to be TouchWindow (see separate entry) accessible for individuals with a physical disability. COMPATIBILITY: Macintosh, Apple and IBM. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: For Macintosh: Macintosh System 6.0.7 or better; 1 MB for monochrome, 1.5 MB for color; hard disk recommended. Optional: TouchWindow.
