Picture of KUHN RIKON GRIPPER JAR OPENER, THE The Kuhn Rikon Gripper Jar Opener is a jar opener designed for use by individuals with arthritis or fine motor, grasping, or upper extremity disabilities or weakness. This device is engineered so that it tightens the jaws around the cap, even as the jar is being opened, elimunating slipping. To use, place The Gripper over the jar lid and rotate the turn knob clockwise to tighten jaws onto lid to lock the tool in place. While holding the jar or bottle securely, the user grasps the handle and pushes counter-clockwise to open. Loosening the turn knob releases the lid. The Gripper opens threaded caps and lids and smooth and grooved sided lids from 1 to 3.5 inches in diameter. DIMENSIONS: 12 x 6 x 2 inches.
