--- DISCONTINUED (Verified 11/2001) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Pick-Up Tong, Model K10711, is a long handled hook designed for persons with lower mobility disabilities unable to reach high, inaccessible places like tall shelves. The pick-up tongs extend a users reach by three feet. Easy to use, the tongs consist of a wooden pole with a grasping device attached at the end. The lightweight, 32-inch, wooden rod has sturdy rubberized metal "fingers" and a spring action handle to pick-off items on kitchen or closet shelves, or reach objects from a bed or chair. A magnetic tip allows users to pick up pins, needles, nails and more. Ideal for anyone with limited mobility or simply in need of a longer reach.
