Picture of TRAUM-AID RECLINING SHOWER / COMMODE CHAIR (MODELS 496-5 & 496-24) The Traum-Aid Reclining Shower / Commode Chair is a wheelchair shower commode designed for use by individuals with severe physical or mobility disabilities. FRAME: Reclining non-folding frame. Model 496-5 is 25 inches wide. The width between the arms is 17 x 17 inches. SEAT: U-shaped commode seat and reclining back and headrest extension. The back is split, allowing the top section to be removed, providing caregiver access for assisted transfers. The four-way seat slot can be used in any direction. The seat height from the floor is 23.5 inches. The underseat clearance with the commode pan holder is 17.25 inches and 20.25 inches without the pan holder. CUSHION: Removable waterproof seat and back pads. ARMS: The arms flip back for transfers and recline with the back. CASTERS: Model 496-24 has two five-inch front casters. Model 496-5 has four five-inch casters. WHEELS: Model 496-24 has two 24-inch rear mag wheels with hand rims. LEGRESTS: Removable, swing-away legrests with calf supports, flip-up footplates, and heel straps.
