--- DISCONTINUED. RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Medtymer is an electronic cap that fits standard pill vials. Alerts user whenever it is time to take a pill by flashing a light and sounding an alarm which continues until the cap is removed from the bottle. Built in batteries will keep timer working for up to a year or more. Cap is pre programmed with specific medication schedule. Four color coded versions: one a day (white), two a day (blue), 3 a day ( green), and 4 a day (yellow). Patient selects appropriate cap. Cap is activated by pulling a metal starting clip when it is first placed on the prescription vial. Cap is not childproof, it is designed for arthritic and elderly, easily removable. Programmed to alarm only during waking hours, allowing ten hours for sleep. Automatic low battery warning. FDA approved.
