The Seca Electronic Multifunctional Scale, model 684, is a digital scale designed for use by individuals with balance, mobility or lower extremity disabilities or people who use wheelchairs. The user can be safely weighed while standing, seated in a wheelchair, or seated on an integrated folding seat. This scale has a large rectangular base with a non-slip rubber surface and handrails on three sides. A ramp (Seca model 470) is included with the scale, and there is a short metal barrier around three sides of the base to keep a wheelchair on the platform. The unit has castors for transport. The swivelling display is mounted on the rear handrail so both the user and the caregiver can read the net and gross weights. Weight can be measured either in kilograms or pounds, and is displayed in increments of 100 grams or 0.2 pounds. Its functions include HOLD that lets medical personnel take care of the user first and read out the results later; BMI measurement; automatic switch-off; TARE, which allows every newly added weight to be ascertained separately; and pre-TARE, which allows the weight of a wheelchair to be deducted for users who are weighed while in a wheelchair. POWER: Uses adaptor. DIMENSIONS(HxLxW): 43.3 x 41.9 x 35.8 inches; the platform (HxLxW) measures 2 x 32.3 x 29.9 inches. CAPACITY: 800 pounds; the integrated seat's capacity is 330 pounds. WEIGHT: 131.2 pounds.
