The Bed Cane is a transfer aid designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities. This device consists of a large, crook-shaped handle with a cushioned grip and a powdercoated shaft affixed to a wooden base. The base fits between the mattress and box springs to provide stability for the handle which can be used for assistance while entering and exiting the bed, as well as to maintain balance while rising to a standing position or transferring to a wheelchair. The unit can be installed on either side of the bed and it is collapsible for transport and storage.
