(Verified 09/2008) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. -- The Montage is a four wheel cycle for two riders designed with 2 side-by-side recumbent-style cycles for reduced back strain. The cycle joins cycling partners together in a relaxed position without either having to worry about balance. Each rider has an independent selection of multiple gears and either or both riders may provide pedal power. FRAME: Made of 4130 chrome-moly straight gauge tubing. A stabilizing cross bars join the two independent systems. SEAT: Adjustable mesh seats and backs are adjustable to accommodate riders of different heights from 5 feet to 6 feet, 4 inches. WHEELS: Rear wheels are 26 inches; front wheels are 20 inches in diameter. Both sets of wheels have alloy rims. BRAKES: Dia-Compe front and rear brakes; each rider has a set, with the rear brake acting as a parking brake. GEARING: Shimano index shifter, derailers, hubs, freewheel, and crank. Gear range is 29 to 92 inches. STEERING: A tie rod system using spherical rod ends. OPTIONS: A storage bin, speedometer, tail light or head light, horn, mirror, fenders, and other accessories are also available. DIMENSIONS: Overall measurements are 75 x 43 x 48 inches; the wheelbase is 42 inches wide.
