(Verified 09/2008) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. -- The JTB Montage is a modified four wheeled tandem cycle for people with visual, hearing and physical disabilities. This unique bicyle-built-for-two features a side-by-side design that allows a cyclist to have a riding partner without having to maintain balance. High-backed seats allow riders to sit in a relaxed position, eliminating back, neck, leg and arm strain. The seats adjust to accommodate riders from 5 feet to six feet, four inches tall. Vertical steering handles that function like a joy stick are positioned between the two seats, allowing either rider to control the direction of the cycle. Because each rider has an independent selection of multiple gears, one or both riders can provide the pedal power. Hand-crafted from tubular alloy, the cycle features components from Shimano, including the shifter, derailers, hubs, freewheel and crank. OPTIONS: A storage bin to transport camping gear or picnic supplies; a computerized speedometer; two red flashing tail lights; a removable headlight; a battery operated horn; mirror, front and rear fenders; two blue water bottles; two blue water cages; and a hand tire pump. DIMENSIONS (LxWxH): 75 x 43 x 48 inches. The rear wheels are 26 inch alloy rims; front tires 20 inch alloy rims. WEIGHT: 120 pounds with all options.
