Picture of HEADSUP FLEXIBLE HEAD SUPPORT SYSTEM HeadsUp is a head support designed for use by children and adults with neurological or severe physical disabilities or spinal cord injury. This support consists of a hat and flexible elastic bands that fasten around a wheelchair headrest or high seat or chair back to hold the head up. Each side adjusts independently from the other, creating the ability to apply the desired amount of tension. As the elastic stretches, it allows a full range of motion;as the elastic stretches, the resistance increases, increasing the support provided. The hat is available in a mesh cap with elastic headband style, which is suitable for general use and for bathing; a baseball cap style; and a floppy hat style. The mesh cap allows for heat release. All cap styles are adjustable, washable, and latex-free. The complete system includes a choice of hat style, two flexible elastic bands for tension adjustment and support, two length-adjustable Velcro straps for fastening to the seat, ten "easy-on" Velcro strips for fastening in confined areas, a detailed instruction manual, and a mesh drawstring pouch for storage and laundering (components are also available separately). OPTIONS: An ergonomically-designed high back support is available to enable the system to be used in low-back chairs. SIZES: Child and adult. COLOR: The baseball cap is available in black or navy, the floppy hat is available in denim or khaki, and the mesh cap is offered in black.
