(Verified 7/2004) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Wireless Personal Pager is a paging system designed to enable a person with a disability to summon assistance. The basic system ($38) consists of a Personal Pager transmitter and a portable Personal Pager receiver. When the button on the transmitter is pressed, the receiver chimes. The system is also available with the transmitter adapted with a jack into which a switch may be plugged for switch activation of the transmitter ($46). A Vibrating Wireless Personal Pager ($80) is also available. The transmitter works in the same way as the other model, but the receiver vibrates when activated, enabling the device to summon an individual with hearing disabilities or who is in a noisy environment.POWER: Uses 2 double A batteries (not included).
