The Thomas Braille Embosser is a braille printer designed for individuals who are blind or have low vision. The Thomas Braille Embosser prints single-sided Braille at a rate of 40 characters per second. Its features include Dynamic Braille Scaling, which allows users to switch with just one command from Library of Congress Braille to California sign Braille, Jumbo Braille, standard Braille with increased line spacing, or the smaller Braille often preferred in Japan. Sizes can be mixed within a single document. Braille graphics can be printed at normal resolution for large shapes or at high resolution for finer detail. Sixteen menus allow the user to customize your embosser once for specific tasks and call all the settings into action with a few keystrokes. The Thomas Braille Embosser can print 6- or 8-dot braille, make multiple strikes per character, use a variety of paper sizes, and reprint up to 99 copies of one document automatically. The Thomas Braille Embosser comes with a noise-muffling desktop case. COMPATIBILITY: Connects to IBM-compatible personal computers through a parallel port. OPTIONS: ET Speaks, providing speech when control buttons are pressed; single sheet tractor option allowing user to feed paper one sheet at a time by hand.
