The Basic-S uses continuous tractor-feed paper and can print single-sided pages at a rate of 170 pages per hour. The control panel is labeled in both Braille and ink, and voice confirmation is provided when keys are pressed. The Basic-S supports as many as 20 Braille alphabets, and can also print Braille graphics (tactile graphics). This printer comes with a copy of WinBraille, a Braille translation and editing program that works from any common Windows word processor or other Windows application in Windows 9X/Me or NT/2000 operating systems.
