--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 12/2002) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Flashback Personal Recorder is a digital cassette recorder designed for use by individuals with visual disabilities. This palm-sized recorder captures voice recordings in solid state memory that may be reused indefinitely. The unit offers a choice of 18- or 36-minute "soundclip" recording capability, two-button operation, instant playback, and voice editing commands which enable the user to delete or insert whole words or phrases or paragraphs without overwriting or deleting the remaining recording. The device also enables the user to skip forward or backward at the touch of a button or to play recording at half- or double-speed without changing pitch. The set includes the unit, a choice of soundclip length, a detachable strap, and instructions and a quick-reference card in print. POWER: Uses two triple-A batteries (included). OPTIONS: Leather case.
