(Verified 9/2011) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The LG VX4650 Voice Command Cell Phone is a voice activated cell phone designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This 1.9-gigaHertz (GHz) phone has speaker-independent voice recognition, enabling the user to make calls and access other features through voice command. The phone also provides audio confirmation of menu navigation and numbers dialed. It can operate in speakerphone, vibrate, or silent mode and is TTY/TDD capable. It has a full-color internal liquid display (LCD) and an external backlit LCD for viewing caller ID, date, and time. The display can be customized for menu style, colors, contrast, fonts, and language. Other features include a blue backlit keypad; the ability to store downloaded pictures, sounds, and graphics; a personal organizer with calendar and voice memo; clock tools; address book with 499 contacts; speed dialing for up to 98 entries plus voice mail; and a polyphonic ringer with 36 unique default ringtones. Additional features that require Verizon Wireless service (not included) include online access; two-way text messaging with graphics and sounds; and downloadable games, ringtones, and wallpaper. OPTIONS: Replacement battery and charger; vehicle charger; battery-only wall charger; extended-life battery; hands-free headset; belt clip; leather case; swivel holster; phone book manager software; and USB cable. POWER: Uses Li-Ion battery with AC travel charger (both included). COLORS: Silver and charcoal.
