1-Foot Braille Rulers are tactile rulers designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. There are two versions: An English Measurement Ruler, model 1-03070-00, and a Metric-English Measurement Ruler, model 1-03100-00. Both rulers are made of molded plastic. On the English Measurement Ruler, inches and fractions are indicated by raised lines. Braille figures are located at inch divisions. On the Metric-English Measurement Ruler, one-centimeter and 1/2 centimeter intervals are indicated by raised lines, opposite English-measurement scale. Braille numbers identify 2-centimeter increments. OPTIONS: A caliper slide, model 1-03090-00, is available for accurate measurement. Calliper slides are available in packages of five and fit either ruler. DIMENSIONS: Rulers are 1.5 inches wide and 0.25 inch thick, tapering to 1/16 inch at reading edges.
