(Verified 05/2006) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- LOUD-R is a personal amplification device that provides sound enhancement for one-on-one conversation in public places such as a bank teller's window, a doctor's office, a hotel front desk, etc. The LOUD-R unit looks similar to a Trim-line style telephone handset. The bottom portion of the LOUD-R is placed near the ear and the top portion, where a microphone is located, points up above the head. There are no wires or connections for the LOUD-R. It is activated when picked up, and turned off when it is put down or cradled.
