The Mikroport FM system is a personal amplification system designed to assist persons with hearing disabilities. Featuring 100 per cent frequency compatibility, this amplification system provides transmitters and receivers with 16 selectable frequencies designed to the user's specifications, allowing interfacing with existing equipment. The tramsmitter features an auxiliary socket designed to connect it to a radio or television, a microphone/antenna socket to connect clip-on microphones, and an integral, built-in microphone with a speech filter; the receiver features two audio sockets for headphones, induction loops/plates and hearing aids, and a priority circuit in the receiver intended to help dilute noise so the user is able to hear a speaker's voice in a classroom, auditorium or theater. Both systems are housed in a light-alloy construction. POWER: Uses two alkaline manganese triple-A batteries. DIMENSIONS (HxDxW): 3.75 x .65 x 2.25 inches. WEIGHT: The transmitter weighs 4.65 ounces and the receiver weighs 4.73 ounces.
