(Verified 04/2010) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- School Passport in Sign Language, model 1313, is a set of picture cards designed for use as communication aids and in sign language training by students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Each card has a picture and word on the front and a drawing of the corresponding sign on the back. Most signs are American Sign Language (ASL) concept signs, but in some cases alphabetic signs are used. Pictures show objects and situations related to school, including transportation, people, rooms facilities in buildings, classroom furniture and equipment, student supplies, activities, subjects, recess and lunch, and special needs. The set contains 237 cards, 16 school dividers, one small Porta Book (see separate entry), one water soluble marker, and one storage file box. DIMENSIONS (HxW): Cards are 2.5 x 3.25 inches.
