The Earscan Acoustic Impedance Pure Tone Audiometer is an auditory evaluation system designed for professional use with individuals with hearing disabilities. This unit can be purchased with tympanometry only or with optional ipsilateral acoustic reflex, manual audiometry and automatic audiometry. Options not originally purchased can be added later as requirements change. The unit is designed to be easy to operate and to provide quick, accurate, and repeatable results. After an exam is complete, the results are displayed
on the large, easy-to-read liquid crystal display (LCD) screen for review. The serial port allows test data to be transmitted to an optional printer for single or multiple hard-copy reports, or to a computer for data management with commercially-available software. The impedance function can be used in either the standard 3- second sweep rate, or can be changed to the fast 1-second rate for testing infants or difficult patients. The unit's Ear-cuffs facilitate a seal. The audiometer can be factory programmed to include only the frequencies the user wishes to test. If the omitted frequencies are needed, the user can temporarily re-enable these frequencies for testing. With the automatic audiometry option, a patient response button is included, freeing the operator to perform other duties while the device conducts the exam. By utilizing the optional patch cords, the audiometry test may be performed in an audiometric sound room. The system includes an impedance probe, Earcuffs, headset, patient response button (with automatic audiometry only), operator's manual, and a power cord. POWER: uses 110, 220, or 240 volts alternating current (AC). OPTIONS: Caarying case, printer, sound room patch cord, headset noise excluding enclosure, and headset cushion covers. DIMENSIONS (WxHxD): 7.5 x 3 x 9 inches. WEIGHT: 3 TO 6 pounds. WARRANTY: Three-year limited warranty.
