« Previous Product Next Product »--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 03/2012) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. ---ReSound is a hearing aid designed to provide automatic, continous variable amplification for the varying intensities (loudness levels) of speech based on the user's sensitivity to the loudness of both high (treble) and low (bass) frequency sounds for persons with hearing (sensorineural) disabilities. These hearing systems are available in custom in-the-ear (ITE) and non-custom behind-the-ear (BTE) configurations; both include a pen-sized remote control designed to store two different user-select programs, one for everyday listening environments and another for special uses (i.e. music, TV, telephone), with volume adjustability for "fine tuning." This system is devised with a miniaturized computer chip engineered to be reprogrammed if the user's hearing loss changes and is designed with the ability to be programmed to one of 975,000 possible prescriptions.
