RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Electropalotograph is a device that uses an artificial palate applied to the hard palate to detect and display the dynamic motion of the tongue during articulation. When used with the optional EPG graphic printer and the EPG recording adapter this unit can store the recorded data and use it for production of training programs or research. Clinical applications include training for persons with articulation disorders due to hearing loss, muscular paralysis or other handicapping conditions. Real time display, 63 points in a frame and 64 frames per second. Memorization capacity, 64 frames per second. Patterns can be replayed in either slow motion of 0.3 or 0.1 time or frame by frame. Unit equipped with rhythm lamp that assists practice at different speeds. Signal output connected with an external printer, magnetic tape recorder or computer. Signal input from magnetic tape recorder or computer. Power source, dry cells size D X 4, 1.5 volt X 4. Maximum current consumption is 300 MA, and with this power equipment can be operated for about five days with five hour operation per day. Dimensions 160 x 200 x 390 mm. Weight 5.2 kg.
