--- DISCONTINUED. RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Polyfonator is a vibrotactile instrument used as a trainer and acousto- vibratory communication aid for groups of up to four students. Using the perception of vibration, the Fonator system is designed to stimulate, control and structure speech of hearing impaired children. Transistorized amplifier, preamplifier with tone control circuit, separate treble and bass settings for the four vibrators. Eight output amplifiers with push-pull output stages for four vibrators and four headphones. Accessories: electrodynamic directional microphone with 2 in cable. Four electrodynamic vibrators with attached coiled cord with concentric plug. One main supply cable, 2 m long. Four dynamic headphones with attached cable and concentric plug. Power 110 volts, 60 c/s. Width 45 cm, depth 21 cm, height 12 cm. Weight 7 kg. Warranty two years on electronic parts. Servicing available from the National Service Center, Union, New Jersey.
