--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 01/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Visible speech apparatus is designed for speech and articulation training of the profoundly and totally deaf. The spectrum of speech sounds are shown instantly by lights on the front panel connected to 16 bandpass filters. Each filter is connected to a vertical column and two lamps behind the translucent front panel. Spectrum, horizontal frequency scale. Intensity, vertical scale. Unit has a freezing circuit. By pressing a button, the speech sound pattern can be frozen in position on the light panel and kept until the button is released.
