(Verified 02/2007) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Teletalker is a telephone amplifier system designed to assist users with mild to severe hearing disabilities. The unit has a special speech processing (Dynamic Signal Processing) circuitry that eliminates annoying line noise and overall feedback thus improving the clarity of the telephone signal. The adjustable amplifier on model TEL004 has adjustable gain from 10 decibel to 30 decibel. Model TEL004CS has either a fixed range or a 10 decibel and 26 decibel high frequency boost. "Enhance" control for adjusting clarity of signal. The large push-buttons (0.75 x 1.5 inches) are well-designed for use by persons with limited vision or dexterity. It plugs into any standard modular plug. The receiver is hearing aid compatible and can be used with aids with a telecoil or a direct audio input cord. The ringer volume has a control slide switch. The unit may be wall or desk mounted. OPTIONS: A headset option ($90) is available for hands-free operation. WARRANTY: The manufacturer offers a 3-year warranty on this product.
