(Verified 09/2007) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The MDEX LIBERATOR, ENTRY LEVEL model, is a TDD (telecommunications device for deaf) emulation communication program designed to provide a wide range of functionality to both hearing and hearing impaired users in the same piece of equipment. Functioning as a completely normal telephone using both international and U.S. Baudot, this communications device, linked to a personal computer, is designed to be used with a hand or head set. It is also engineered to establish and maintain both the voice and data communications links simultaneously. The system additionally features full Bulletin Board access support--Prodigy/Compuserve--and some services can be accessed directly from Liberator software; interactive menus with instructions displayed on the left hand side of the screen if desired with split/full screen modes; a number of automatic answering modes, answering in either voice or TDD modes; an infinitely-sized database containing a complete phone book with name, address, phone number and call set up information; pre-recorded voice and TDD user messages; a variety of telephone services with conversations that can be saved and printed; in addition to volume control and scrolling. COMPATIBILITY: Lan; can also be used with an additional optional software driver with communications software such as Procom or Bitcom. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: PC based; MDEX LB-1000.
