(Verified 09/2012) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFEENCE. --- LiteGait I is a suspension ambulation aid and gait trainer designed to enable therapists to safely train individuals with mobility disabilities in posture, gait, balance, and the use of assistive ambulation devices such as canes, crutches, and walkers. This unit enables the user to progress from partial to full weight bearing and they may be used over ground or with treadmills. The unit consists of a four-wheeled U base supporting a pair of height-adjustable suspension handles to which a suspension sling is attached. The sling fits around the pelvis and promotes proper posture and standing. Sitting is prevented during use. Users may face the suspension bar and use the attached handgrips for additional support, or they may face away from it for more free-standing training or to train with assistive devices. A lifting feature raises the user from a wheelchair or up from a mat to an upright walking posture. CAPACITY: 200, 260, 360, 400, or 500 pounds.
