--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 9/2000) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE --- Portable sensor measures pressure between skin and seat cushions. Operator squeezes bulb, pumping air into sensor; display indicates switch contact when pressure in sensor equals pressure between person and cushion. Interchangeable single ($30) and multi-switch ($60) sensors. Single sensor is 1.5 inch square pad. Multiple sensor is 4 inch diameter round pad, with central area measuring 1 inch in diameter; designed to allow exact pinpointing of high pressure areas. Digital display "freezes" at precise value of interface pressure, providing more accurate reading.

Notes: Can be used to evaluate appropriate cushion or mattress for prevention of skin breakdown.
