(Verified 09/2007) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Active/Passive Trainer (A.P.T) Deluxe is a bicycle exerciser designed for use by people with upper extremity, lower extremity, mobility, or neurological disabilities or spinal cord injury. Basic features on both models include: straight hand grips, a gear-based resistance mechanism, foot plates, high leg supports, remote control,and Velcro tie-down straps. Both models also offer 10 resistance levels, 10 speed adjustments, and 10 torque adjustments, an auto-reverse mechanism, an anti-spasm mechanism, biofeedback, a digital timer, and a digital counter. Both models are height adjustable and offer a manual mode and a powered mode. The powered mode provides motorized assistance to limbs that cannot actively propell the pedals. Additional features include adjustable range of motion and bi-directional pedals. Model 5905 includes a stand. POWER: Uses standard electrical current. OPTIONS: Assist gloves, quad grips, handle bar, angled hand grips, heart beat transmitter kit,pediatric foot plates, and others are available. DIMENSIONS: Model 5900 is 18 x 20 x 6 inches folded. Model 5905 with the stand is 39 x 29 x 39. WEIGHT: Model 5800 is 22 pounds without optional equipment and model 5805 weighs 66 pounds without optional equipment. WARRANTY: A manufacturer’s warranty is included.
