(Verified 1/2012) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- BunniSteps is a motor assisted-stationary therapy bicycle with reciprical, full range of motion designed for use by children six to fifteen years old or small adults under five feet tall with muscle weakness or neurological disabilities. Designed for activity driven therapy, this cycle has an over-pedal feature that allows users to cycle using their own power while the motor is engaged and pick back up where users are unable. The handlebars work the upper body and extremeties simultaneously by moving for the user and feature individually adjustable height and movement and foam-padded grips. The handle grips have cam adjustments with L-pins for 180-degree forward up and down settings as well as and positioning pin settings for 180-degree lateral up and down settings. The unit also has a hand-held control with speeds from 4 to 30 revolutions per minute (rpm). The ergonomically-designed foot pedals have a patented reciprocating motor-assist motion and an over-pedal feature for full manual operation even with the motor engaged. Sealed bearings provide smooth movement. Foot plates with fully-adjustable Velcro straps ensure proper foot placement. The adjustable seat and arm rests enable barrrier-free use. Other features include an eronomically-designed executive-style chair back and over-the-shoulder harness and lap belts for safety and security. The seat rotates left or right 45 to 90 degrees. The seating belt system includes a seat/lap-belt, a chest belt. and/or a butterfly vest. CONTROLS: Hand-held control. SPEED: 5 speeds from 4 to 30 revolutions per minute (rpm). OPTIONS: Supportive hand straps with optional grasping cuff gloves and adjustable foot straps on an oversized foot pedal. CAPACITY: 250 pounds.
