(Verified 11/2011) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. ---The Froomsplint Arm Extension Support is a hand orthosis and arm exerciser designed for use by individuals who have had strokes or other neurological injuries or disabilities. This adjustable height cane has a non-slide base that allows support for forward-backward or side-to- side motion. The removable base can be replaced with a rubber end piece for 360-degree rotation. This unit is used to support the arm and wrist during extension, forward, or side-to-side movement. The device is available for righ- or left-handed use and fits all Froomsplint models (not included; see entries).
