The Norco Hand Exerciser, model NC52000, is a progressively resistive hand and arm exerciser designed to provide people with grasping and upper extremity disabilities with a variety of therapeutic exercises for manual rehabilitation. The unit is constructed of plastic and uses one or more rubber bands to provide adjustable resistance as the user pulls back on the handle. The user can attach additional rubber bands to increase resistance. Five rubber bands are included, each providing approximately 4 pounds of force. Two metal thumb screws may be adjusted to change the length of pull to best fit a person's hand size or desired range of motion. The exerciser has a foam hand grip for increased comfort on the palmar surface. OPTIONS: Additional colored latex rubber bands are available.
