(Verified 2/2011) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The EMS+2 is a dual channel neuromuscular stimulator designed to relieve chronic and acute pain associated with neurological and severe physical disabilities. It is suitable for use in residential settings and features a host of independently-adjustable parameters for both channels, including rate, duration, time, ramp, and amplitude. This lightweight, portable stimulator uses a biphasic AC waveform for maximum power and comfort and a pulsed monophasic DC mode for greater flexibility. Use AC to increase or maintain range of motion and to prevent joint contractures and disuse atrophy. Use DC to assist in the reduction of post-traumatic edema and muscle spasm, reeducation of partially denervated muscle and small muscle groups. The output current is adjustable from 0 to 100 milliamps. The pulse rate is adjustable from 4 to 80 Hz. The pulse width is adjustable from 50 to 300 microseconds. DIMENSIONS (LxWxD): 5.4 x 3.2 x 1.2 inches. POWER: 9-volt rechargeable or alkaline battery (sold separately). WEIGHT: 8 ounces.
