(Verified 03/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The XL Carrier Mobility Transporter is a hitch-mounted scooter and wheelchair loader for van designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. This loader features a platform that extends out from the van door, and a ramp that folds out from the driver's side (left side) of the platform. The wheelchair or scooter is rolled up the ramp onto the platform, then the platform slides into the van. Models XLS-44 and XLS-48 are made of steel, and models XLA-44 and XLA-48 are made of aluminum. These carriers support 300 pounds with Class II hitch or 500 pounds with Class III hitch. OPTIONS: Passenger side (right side) ramp; safety tie down harness; travel cover. DIMENSIONS (LxW): 27.5 x 44 inches (models XLS-44 and XLA-44) or 48 inches (models XLS-48 and XLA-48). WEIGHT: Model XLS-44 weighs 93 pounds; model XLS-48 weighs 95 pounds; model XLA-44 weighs 52 pounds; model XLA-48 weighs 58 pounds. COLORS: Models XLS-44 and XLS-48 have a black powder coat with a bright aluminum platform and ramp; models XLA-44 and XLA-48 are bright aluminum. CAPACITY: 180 pounds with a Class II hitch; 350 pounds with a Class III hitch. WEIGHT: 101 pounds (Model XLA-44); 105 pounds (XLS-44); 103 pounds (XLA-48); 107 pounds (XLS-48). WARRANTY: Five year limited warranty.
