The Argo 6x6 Vanguard is an amphibious all terrain vehicle which may be used by persons with lower extremity disabilities due to the vehicles all hand-controlled operation. This 6-wheel drive vehicle may be driven directly from land over water, deep snow, mud, swamp, bog, and bushland. Features include a V-Twin Briggs & Stratton engine, mechanical disc brakes, and all-wheel-drive maneuverability, and skid steering. FRAME: 11-gauge roll-formed steel channel, welded for strength and flexibility. An 18-gauge steel full-length center panel is added for strengtha nd support. The frame has front and rear-bearing extension housings, and is polyester powder coated. The body is vacuum-formed, high density polyethylene. CONTROLS: Two hand-operated levers activates the brakes, steering, and stopping. A hand-operated twist-grip throttle and dash-mounted choke control add to this vehicles hand-driven capabilities. WHEELS: 6 Goodyear 'Runamuk" low pressure, shock absorbing tires. POWER: 12-volt key-operated electric start system with manual pull-rope backup. SPEEDS: 30 kilomethers (19 miles per hour) on land, 3 kilometers per hour (2 miles per hour) in water. OPTIONS: Regular or super tracks, trailer hitch, outboard motor bracket, storage cover, winch and bracket, front or full length skid plate, tail light kit, convertible top and windshield, bilge pump, oil change pump, tow hook, snow plow assembly, and an off-road amphibious trailer are also available. CAPACITY: Seating capacity is 4 persons or 700 pounds on land or 2 adults in the water. Rear compartment will hold up to 140 pounds. WEIGHT: Vehicle weight is 765 pounds. DIMENSIONS (LxWxH): Overall dimensions are 95 x 57.5 x 42.5 inches. WARRANTY: 2-year limited warranty on the engine.
