(Verified 03/2013) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. ---The Motorized Easel - The Dreamer is an adjustable motorized easel designed for use by individuals with severe physical disabilities or spinal cord injury. The easel tilts electrically for use while the user is sitting or while reclining. It tilts in a 75- degree range without adjustments, and a 120-degree range with three adjustments. Tilting and the X-Y motion of the drawing board are electrically controlled with a sensitive microswitch. The microswitch box is mounted on a telescoping L-support, which fits on either side and which can also accommodate painting accessories, such as a tool holder and two or three mouthsticks (not included). Model DRM-L is large enough to straddle a hospital or regular twin bed. The unit has a steel and aluminum frame with powder electro-coating. The drawing board has a redwood frame with honeycomb construction, a mahogany plywood cover, and Styrofoam filler. Instructions for assembly and use are included. OPTIONS: Smaller or larger drawing boards. POWER: Uses 115 or 230 volts alternating current (household current), or a wheelchair battery. Control switches use 12 volts direct current (DC). DIMENSIONS (DxW): Model DRM-L is 25 x 49 inches with a clearance height of 25 to 37 inches; its standard drawing board is 24 inches high x 48 inches wide x 1 inch thick. Model DRM-S is 25 x 36 inches. COLOR: Frame is gray or black.
