(Verified 04/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Companion Multi-Function Walker, model CW-1A, is a folding, adjustable wheeled walker designed to be a combination of a walker, wheelchair, shopping cart, seat, baby stroller, travelling caddy, walking exercise tool, and an oxygen unit carrier. The entire unit folds for transport and storage. The design of the walker allows it to be maneuvered up and down stairs, escalators, and curbs. Other features include a carrying caddy and a carrier for a baby's car seat (for use as a stroller). FRAME: The chrome-plated steel tubing, reinforced frame has adjustable height handles, retractable footrest, and contoured back frame. Frame is 22 inches wide with a 28.5 inch wheelbase and 7.5-inch footrest extension. Height ranges from 30 inches (with handle off) to 39 inches. Length ranges from 42.5 inches (folded) to 35.5 inches (folded with handle off). The basket can be vertically adjusted and has a lid latch on the padded vinyl seat/cover. It measures 15.5 (w) x 10.25 (d) x 14.5 (h) inches, and weighs 8 pounds. SEAT: Velcro back cushion (included) is 6 x 18.5 inches. ARMRESTS: Removable arm rests. BRAKES: Dual hand brake system on the push handles. WHEELS: Four 5-inch diameter front wheels, two 7-inch diameter rear wheels. Dual front wheels are ball-bearing and made of vinyl. Heavier gauge ball-bearing wheels can be attached so the walker can act as a wheeled chair. OPTIONS: Oxygen tank carrier, extra back cushion, and a chrome basket for tandem shopping unit. CAPACITY: 600 pounds.
