--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 1/2004) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Champion 1000 is an adult lightweight wheelchair designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities. FRAME: Folding lightweight frame in a choice of fifteen colors. Anti-tip bars are standard. SEAT: The seat width is available in 14- to 20- inch widths in 1-inch increments and the seat depth is available in a choice of 15, 16, 17 or 18 inches. An adjustable back in a standard choice of a 12- to 16-inch range or a 14- to 19-inch range. CUSHION: A 2-inch covered cushion is standard. ARMRESTS: Included. BRAKES: Wheel locks. CASTERS: Front casters are available with 5-inch urethane or 7 inch semi-pneumatic tires and sealed bearings. WHEELS: 24-inch rear wheels with 1 3/8 inch pneumatic tires on quick-release axles with horizontal and vertical rear axle adjustment. FOOTRESTS: Flip-up or swing-away footrests with plantar flexion adjustment. WEIGHT: 25 pounds without footrests. .
