The Venture Hemi Light 687 is a lightweight folding manual hemi wheelchair designed for use by adults with lower extremity, mobility or neurological disabilities or spinal cord injury, as well as amputees and those who propel a wheelchair by foot. In addition to the standard 687 model, this wheelchair comes in a narrow (models 687N and 687NE) version. FRAME (HxLxW): 36 x 41 or 43 x 22.5 or 24.5) inches. The chrome-plated frame has composite side panels. The folded dimensions (LxW) are 31 x 10.5 inches. Anti-tippers and an anti-folding device are optional. SEAT (LxW): 16 x (16 or 18) inches. The seat height is 20 inches. A non-removable 16.75-inch high back is standard. A seatbelt and headrest extension are optional. UPHOLSTERY: Black padded nylon upholstery is available in black only. ARMRESTS: Removable desk-length padded armrests are standard. BRAKES: Adjustable toggle wheel locks are standard. Wheel lock extension tubes are optional. CASTERS: 6 x 1 inch molded casters with lightweight polyurethane tires. WHEELS: 20 x 1 inch rear molded wheels with lightweight polyurethane tires are standard. Pneumatic tires and pneumatic tires with airless inserts are optional. Composite handrims are standard; projection handrims and a one arm drive are optional. FOOTRESTS: Cam-action swing-away detachable, padded legrests or footrests with footplates are standard. Elevating legrests are optional (models 687E and 687NE). Front riggings extend from 16 to 21 inches. Leg straps and an anti-theft lock for front riggings are optional. OPTIONS: Amputee adapter; anti-theft bar; wheelchair tray; IV rod attachment; and oxygen tank holder. CAPACITY: 250 pounds. WEIGHT: 30 pounds (model 687N) or 29 pounds (models 687NE, 687, and 687E).
