--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 9/2011) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Manual one arm drive wheelchair. Folding. Fixed arms. One arm drive enables individuals to guide and propel the wheelchair from one side. Two handrims, one smaller than the other, are located on one side of the chair, left or right. On most models the outer, or smaller rim, is connected to the opposite wheel by a folding axle. When both handrims are grasped together, the chair may be propelled forward or backward in a straight line. When either handrim is moved independently, the chair will turn left or right in response to the handrim used. Wheel lock extension permits propelling hand to operate opposite wheel lock. Frames constructed of steel and steel alloy tubing. Chrome plated using Dur-Ni process. Concealed inner reinforcing and precision mandril bending increases frame strength at stress areas. Padded upholstered armrests with plastic base and stainless steel side panels. Cushioned embossed leatherette seat and back upholstery reinforced with inner liner. Push type toggle wheel locks, or optional pull type toggle wheel locks. Swinging detachable footrests, self storing and self locking with a cam action lock. Footrests adjust individually for length, heel loops and non slip rubber pads to prevent feet from sliding off footplate. Free rolling 8 by 1 inch Delrin solid spoke caster wheels. Double set of sealed precision ball bearings on each caster and wheel. Adjustable spokes on all large wheels. 8 inch front and 24 inch rear tires are gray nonmarking. Protective handgrips and tipping levers for attendant use. Net weight 48 pounds without footrests. Available in adult 18 inch and narrow adult 16 inch seat widths.
