(Verified 09/2008) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. -- The Pioneer Wheelchair is a reclining, tilt-in-space wheelchair designed for postural stability and comfort. Features include a seat-to-floor height adjustment to accommodate varying table heights or to facilitate standing from sitting and transfers; detachable pushandles and tray brackets; and adjustable footplates which can be rotated and displaced asymmetrically. Seat adjustments are foot and hand operated mechanisms incorporating gas struts to provide equilibrium so that the adjustments require minimal effort. 15 and 25 degree push handles are available. ARMRESTS: Adjustable, detachable arms. FOOTRESTS: Adjustable platforms with heel cuffs, detachable. WHEELS: Quick release wheels are available on the self- propelled model. CASTORS: Pneumatic or solid. BRAKES: Attendant foot brake on transit model.
