--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 3/93) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Add-on power assist unit for manual wheelchairs. Single pneumatic wheel drive unit attaches to the center of the rear of most manual wheelchairs. Control lever engages drive unit, activated by engaging the drive wheel and pressing a switch. 12 volt motor. Dual speed control. Wheelchair can still fold with unit attached. Maximum power range, 4 miles. Small battery pack fits under the front of the seat.

Notes: Provides some assistance when needed but chair is still propelled manually. Does not make the chair a powered wheelchair.
