Picture of ETAC BALDER JUNIOR Balder Junior is a child's powered wheelchair designed for use by children with mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. This chair elevates, declines, tilts to a 45-degree angle, and lays flat. FRAME (LxW): 35 x 25 inches (length with footrest folded back; width from outside of drive wheels). Ground clearance is 6.5 inches. The chair has an adjustable side support assembly and a swing-aside tray, and is available in nine different standard color schemes. CONTROLS: Choice of guidance system from Dynamic, with attendant control with guiding hoop. FWD: Front wheel drive. SEAT: Adjustable seating unit with modular seat height from 15 to 32 inches; modular seat width from 12 to 14 inches; modular seat depth from 14 to 16 inches. A removable incontinence cover is included. BRAKES: An electric lockdown is available for use in cars. CASTERS (WxD): Rear tires are 2.5 x 3 inches. WHEELS (WxD): Front tires are 3 x 8 inches. Axel distance is 24 inches. FOOTRESTS: Swing-away footrests with optional thigh and knee pads. POWER: Uses two rechargeable 12-volt 55 AH batteries. SPEEDS: 6.5 miles per hour. WEIGHT: 278 pounds.
