(Verified 12/2007) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The HiRider is a powered stand up wheelchair for adults designed to provide mobility in both sitting and standing positions. The user can independently move to a full standing position and return to a sitting position while the chair is in forward motion. Adjustable padded leg braces, waist and chest straps stabilize user. FRAME (LxWxH): The unit measures 41 x 22.5 x 37 inches. CONTROLS: Armrest-mounted proportional joystick control. FWD: Front-wheel drive. SEAT: The seat is 18 inches wide. UPHOLSTERY: Vinyl upholstery. ARMRESTS: The armrests automatically adjust when the standing feature is engaged to allow the user access to the control box. BRAKES: Electromechanical brakes. CASTERS: 8-inch rear casters. WHEELS: 9-inch front wheels. POWER: 24 volt motors. Battery charger and tool kit included. SPEED: Maximum speed in the sitting position is 5 miles per hour; maximum speed while standing is 2.5 miles per hour for a range of 25 miles. WEIGHT: 340 pounds.
