--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 04/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The OmegaTrac is a powered wheelchair designed for indoor or outdoor use by individuals with mobility disabilities. FRAME: Power base with suspension. The standard suspension is an automotive-type spring suspension with shock absorbers and front roll stabilizers; options include air suspension, a heavy-duty upgrade, and a custom weight upgrade. The chair is 46 inches long with the drive wheels in front and 45 inches with leading casters and an 80-degree footrest. The base is 24.5 inches wide in a narrow configuration, 26.5 inches in a wide configuration, and 28.5 inches in an extra wide configuration. The chair has a turning radius of 30.5 inches in the standard configuration. The chair is offered in a standard color choice of black, red, or blue. Custom colors included candy red, candy blue, and hammered gray. CONTROLS: A right- or left-hand joystick is standard; sip-and-puff, headgear, or chin controls are available. FWD: Front wheel drive is standard; rear wheel drive is available. SEAT: A fixed seat is standard. Optional adjustable and heavy duty seats are available, as are brackets for alternate seating. The standard seat widths and depths are 14, 16, 18, or 20 inches. Optional widths and depths include 15, 17, and 19 inches; custom widths and depths are also available. Standard back heights are 16, 18, or 20 inches and custom heights are available. The standard floor to seat height is 18 inches; custom heights are available. TILT IN SPACE: The FirstClass Power Tilt System is optional. UPHOLSTERY: The standard and adjustable seats include a choice of sling seat and back upholstery or a solid seat and a sling back. The heavy-duty seat includes a solid seat and back. ARMRESTS: The standard and adjustable seats include flip-up armrests and the heavy duty seat includes desk-length armrests. BRAKES: Electronic brakes. CASTERS: 10 x 3 inch casters with gray pneumatic tires are standard. Flat-free inserts are optional. WHEELS: Drive wheels are 16 x 3 inches with pneumatic tires. Flat-free inserts are optional, as are cast aluminum or dual steel wheel upgrades. FOOTRESTS: Swing-away 80-degree footrests are standard. The heavy-duty seat includes 70-degree footrests, which are optional on other seats. Manual elevating footrests, aluminum footplates, and 90-degree footrests are optional. OPTIONS: Custom drive ratio kits, E-Z Lock compatible anchor pin, E-Z Lock compatible tie down kit, tow hitch, and others. POWER: Uses two Group 24 gel batteries (not included); the battery charger is included. SPEEDS: Proportional speed control with 6 miles per hour maximum for a range of approximately 30 miles is standard. A speed range of 1 to 10 miles per hour is optional. CAPACITY: The standard capacity is 275 pounds; the heavy-duty upgrade has a capacity of 400 pounds. Custom upgrades with dual wheels and standard suspension have a capacity of up to 700 pounds. WEIGHT: The power base without batteries or seat weighs 215 pounds. The fixed seat and footrest weigh 18 pounds. WARRANTY: Lifetime frame warranty; five-year drive train and suspension warranty; 2 years or 1,000 hours on drive and steering motors; one year on the body and battery boxes; and one year manufacturer defect warranty on tires, tubes, or upholstery.
