Picture of KOALA MINIFLEX The Koala Miniflex is a powered wheelchair designed for use by children with lower extremity, mobility, or neurological disabilities or spinal cord injury. FRAME (LxW): 28-32 x 22 inches. Minimum turning radius is 36 inches. The Koala Miniflex has a ground clearance of 2.5 inches and independent suspension. The base frame is available in xtreme yellow or chili pepper red. An optional front bumper is available. CONTROLS: Right- or left-hand mounted joystick with Pilot+ Series programmable electronics are standard, and the user may choose between several joystick options. A remote stopping device provides parental control over the child’s wheelchair. FWD: Front-wheel drive. SEAT (DxW): 10 x 10, 12 x 12, or 14 x 14 inches. The backrest is available in three sizes (WxH): 10 x 14, 12 x 16, or 14 x 20. A headrest is standard. The floor-to-seat height is 15 inches. A powered seat elevator can raise the seat up to 8 inches. The seat also has a powered tilt feature and can tilt back 45 degrees. The backrest reclines from 90 to 150 degrees. A positioning belt is standard. UPHOLSTERY: Black leatherette or fabric. ARMRESTS: Padded armrests are available in lengths of 8 or 10 inches. CASTERS: Rear caster wheels with solid rubber tires. WHEELS: Front wheels, 2.5 inches wide and 8 inches diameter with pneumatic tires. FOOTRESTS: Front one-piece footplate with manual elevation adjustment. POWER: Uses M40-12 SLD G gel cell batteries (included). A charger is included. SPEED: 4 miles per hour. The range is 24 miles per charge, and the maximum recommended incline is 10 degrees going up and 6 degrees going down. CAPACITY: 110 pounds. WEIGHT: 203 pounds.
